Oakland County ARPSC Brooksie Way Sign-Up

The Oakland County Amateur Radio Service Corps will again be providing communications support for the annual Brooksie Way Half Marathon in the Rochester/Rochester Hills area. The Oakland County ARPSC is an organization of amateur radio operators dedicated to providing organized communications in a time of need.

This event has a single operational period from 6:00 AM until approximately 12:00 Noon. Operators will be placed in various locations along the route to monitor the health and safety of the race participants and spectators. The route for the race tends to change slightly from year to year based on construction projects in the area.

Operators will need to have a DMR capable UHF radio for this event as all operations will be conducted on the Oakland Count ARPSC DMR repeater. The repeater will remain in it's normal location in Pontiac for the event. A limited number of loaner radios may be available for operators that do not have one.
